This site is dedicated to my father, who gave to me the gift of music....

Sriranjani was conceived, designed and developed by me (Satish Babu M/39, Vice President, InApp Information Technologies, Technopark, Trivandrum), with lots of help from lots of people.

Here are the people who helped me with Sriranjani:

  • Sandhya, who helped with data entry of raga information from the printed sources
  • Sridhar, who I have bugged consistently through the development of this site, for JDBC- and SQL-related questions
  • Francis and Suraj, SysAdmins of InApp, who not only helped me with HTML and Java, but also managed the migration of the site from my laptop to the San José server
  • The InApp multimedia team, which was instrumental in conception of this site as a precursor to the CD-ROM on Karnatic music that InApp plans to produce.
  • Ajayan of InApp's multimedia team, who spent his time and effort in designing an excellent front-end for Sriranjani.
  • Archana and Anitha, the administrators of this site, who have been doing a wonderful job for the last two months.
  • My colleagues at InApp for the support
  • The Free Software Movement, GNU/Linux and MySQL communities, for providing us with great technologies and tools
  • ...and my wife and son, who found me glued to my laptop many an evening, and must've wondered what I was up to

Techie stuff

For those of you who are interested, this site uses the following technologies:
